Canada GAA’s COVID-19 Measures

In responding to information from local governments and the World Health Organization, regarding Covid-19, Canada GAA has put a number of measures in place in order to play our part in the efforts to support “social distancing” and help minimise the spread of the virus.

Events and meetings

All GAA games, practises, events and meetings are postponed until March 31st 2020, at which point the situation will be reviewed.

Advice for members

We have advised all our members to follow the guidance and advice issued by the statutory authorities, we also advise members to stay up to date with the latest official health and travel advice.

We understand that during this difficult time, more than ever, people will need support. We urge members, who are not in the “at risk” category and who can, without compromising either their own or anybody else’s safety, to help others that are less fortunate in their communities.

Canada GAA is mindful that this is an unprecedented situation but hopefully our actions, along with those of many other organisations and businesses will be practical, and that these useful steps will help to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

As the situation will continue to change, check our Website and Social Media platforms where we will be posting any updates.

I want to send a special word of thanks to our Clubs from coast to coast for the wonderful work you have being doing since this outbreak, informing and looking out for each other is something the GAA community does best, keep the faith, stay safe and best wishes from all at Canada GAA.
