County

The County unit is the most commonly recognized sub section of the GAA, Counties are represented by a County committee who oversees the general activity of their County areas.

Meets once per year at Annual Convention (normally in Toronto, Ontario). All clubs are invited to send delegates and they vote on motions and elect a Management Committee.

Divisional Committees

Certain large Counties divide their counties into sub section to assist with the organisation and administration of their affairs including Club competitions. This practice is more common with large counties that have a considerable area to cover. Canada is one of the Counties who run their affairs on this basis.
