FAQS | CNC 2024

How do I get to the venue?

The CNC 2024 event will be held at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club which is accessible by car and transit.

Transit: Take Expo Line SkyTrain from any downtown Vancouver station (heading towards King George or Production Way–University), get off at Sperling-Burnaby Lake Station.

Shuttle buses will be provided to and from the pitch from partner hotels:

  • Accent Inns Burnaby, 3777 Henning Dr, Burnaby, BC V5C 6N5
  • Element Vancouver Metrotown, 5988 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 2A7
  • Executive Plaza Hotel Coquitlam, 405 North Rd #1, Coquitlam, BC V3K 3V9

Buses run from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, labeled with hotel names.

Pickup/Drop-off Location: Near the main entrance of the event.

Is there an entry fee?

No, admission to the Canadian National Championship 2024 is FREE! We welcome everyone to join us and enjoy the games and festivities.

 

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

You can bring your own food and drinks. However, there will be food vendors on-site and we encourage you to support The Wandering Tap Beer Garden.

  • Saturday: Gs Donnair, Little Devils Pizza, Wings
  • Sunday: Crack On Vancouver, Wings, Shameless Buns

What are the parking options?

On-site parking is available but limited. We recommend carpooling, using public transit, or car-sharing services. Overflow parking is available at Burnaby Lake East Field #10 (Gravel) on Sperling Ave/Thomas Street.

Are there facilities for children?

Yes, the venue is family-friendly with a playground on-site. In case a child becomes separated from their group, they will be taken to the Medical Tent until reunited with their guardians.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. Please clean up after your pet.

Is smoking allowed at the venue?

No, Burnaby Lake Rugby Club is a smoke-free venue. Smoking and vaping are prohibited within the grounds.

How can I stay updated on match results?

Match schedules and score updates will be available at the Tournament Information Tent and on our official website and social media channels.

What if I have a medical emergency?

There will be a Medical Tent on-site, staffed with trained personnel to assist with injuries, health concerns, and lost children. For serious emergencies, call 9-1-1.

What should I do if I see a bear?

If a bear is sighted, stay calm, back away slowly, and do not approach or run. Report the sighting to event staff immediately.
