Step 2 – Application for Affiliation to the GAA

You should have already completed Step 1, and read through the Information Pack

There are some requirements to being a fully affiliated GAA Club, once you have read the information pack and put the structure of the club in place, you should be ready for affiliation.
To become a CGAA affiliated Club the club must also have a minimum number of playing members to start: For a Men’s team, at least 15 members and for a Ladies team at least 11 members. A Club also requires a completed Club Constitution [Word document GAA Club Constitution template]

    It is the policy of the CGAA that all coaches, trainers, managers, mentors, their assistants, referees and club officials are subject to Criminal Record Checks which includes Vulnerable Sector and Sex Offender Checks. No coach, trainer, manager, mentor, their assistants, referees or club officials may participate in any training session, sanctioned or unsanctioned competitions, game, tournament or related CGAA events without having submitted a Police Record Check to the CGAA. Individuals 18 years of age and under, who assist as a coach, trainer, manager, mentor, referees or club official must be vetted. The consent of a parent/guardian is required prior to vetting persons 18 years of age or less.
