In collaboration with Ulster GAA, the Canadian Gaelic Athletic Association (CGAA) is excited to announce a joint Referee Tutor and Coaching Developer course set to take place in Toronto. This in-person event is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th, and Sunday, April 14th, 2024, with online modules to be made available prior to the sessions.
This comprehensive course is designed for:
– Certified Coaches who have previously completed any Gaelic Games Coaching course, including the Introduction to Coaching Gaelic Games (ICGG, formerly known as the Foundation Award), Level 1, and Level 2.
– Certified Referees who have completed any level of referee courses, such as Foundation, Level 1, and Level 2.
Financial assistance is available for registered participants who fulfill the required criteria, subject to availability.
Upon completion, participants are expected to commit to conducting at least one course (either Coaching or Referee) annually within their club or division, as required. Qualified participants will be able to deliver foundation-level courses only.
These courses mark a significant step towards Canada GAA goal of achieving self-sufficiency in growing a robust network of Referee and Coaching members, who are vital for our continue growth.
